Mink Valley: History of the area and local folklore

 

Chris Jaggers has recorded other projects for us in the past, one other being Tanya and Fred’s previous project, People Meat. People Meat was Tanya and Fred’s 3rd band together. The Shelleycoats was the first; later on Tanya and Fred simultaneously quit their 2nd band after the lead singer/guitarist passed out on his back on stage BEFORE their set started (it was a 3 piece which meant that they played the entire set by themselves, Fred on drums/Tanya on bass). When Jerry (People Meat's guitarist/singer) moved away People Meat couldn’t really continue, so Tanya worked on various projects with Morey (The Termites, The Mohos) and Fred played in a band called Mauser with Mr. Webb. Freddie Long and Tanya Pants crossed paths... again... to join their new found forces together. At the same time, Jeremy and Fred were playing psychedelic-free jam-space rock with a haunted delay pedal in a project arbitrarily called Bait Car with Des MacDonald. Des had the East culture calling him in a different language and was summoned like a zombie to brains all the way to Montreal. Meanwhile Jeremy got absorbed into the Fred, Tanya, Morey conglomeration and Mink Valley was formed. After some saucy times, the Murder Inn EP, and a lot of beer, Morey parted ways to pursue other musical avenues, and three it would be..
